My first car was a CS3 and tbh the sound sytem was pretty horrid. Granted it was a RORO so I can't be sure it was stock. The head unit was an Alpine.
The only upgrades I ever do to that car was I changed out the 4 speakers and deck for an all Pioneer system within the first few months. Thereafter it was impressive.

Well, the CS3 i had was from the firm with a Mitsubishi head unit, then I had another one from Singapore and that one I just upgraded the deck to a Sony Xplode and it was on par with the sound system from the firm. All four speakers we're factory.

I stand by this decision. For a 10+yr old economy car, it surprised me.Capleton wrote:I eh go lie a CS3 Lancer factory system sounds pretty crisp for a budget car.
