In general, short wheelbase FWD cars solodex either because the courses are mostly slow and twisty. If you want to choose between a star and a "bluebird drift" then strictly for the establishment of a good time I think that the starlet would be a better option. If you want to learn how to drift and have fun at the facts, I'd say go with the tile.

In many of the North American Autocross Clubs, they consider the Mazda MX5/5th gen Miata as a wonderful starter car for autocross.

not at dex, but i've driven a few. It's a heavy car with body roll on the original suspension. the tighter sections of the course are where you'd feel it most.
don't let it deter you from trying it out though.
remember brake in as straight a line as possible, and if you're spinning the wheels on acceleration you're going too much on the power too early.

Trying to source a helmet so I put a WTB in the parts forum. Looking for one non motorcycle style i.e. without mouthpiece. No luck finding one so it looks like gonna have to rent.
