well maybe it should be changed from 6 runs to 5 runs, that way, still get more seat time but significantly reduces time of racing..... I like the idea of not feeling pressured to make a fast time

I have no problem with the six runs, and I hope it stays the same for 2014.

As pete said, 1st & maybe even the 2nd run can be used for getting familiar with the course.

was now leading to 5 being the magic number.

when i raced and the maximum was 4, there were events when i didn't use them all.
By my second to third run I was happy, and would only go again if bested.
made for some close champ points.

4 runs keeps the competition tight, 6 runs is just to much.

no. i think 6 runs is a great . gives more seat time and a chance for more competition. plus would attract more ppl by allowing them a full day of racing

more driving time (30-40 minutes, instead of 6 minutes) is a bad thing?
what would the ideal day of racing be like for those with that view?

Remembering manufacturers TW are not the same...........
Current rules say R's a lone are a bump
pete once used a TW ~160 tire finding them just as grippy as R's, just more life.

As such, if the average TW for a street set of tires is ~350. and most performance tires are < 200.
Is it safe to say some penalty should be incurred?
Or should streetshod cars have that distinct disadvantage knowing that tires are the most beneficial mod that can be made, while being so meticulous with all else?

correct
there is no industry standard that defines TW numbers

Did an update on the registration form. Works best in Acrobat. But can be used in browser.

Any suggestions? especially relating to rule changes? remember somethign about lsd's and intercoolers, but can't locate those.

Nah not my 160tw tyre. That was the Htr z1 which really was an underperformer for the 160tw. The michelin pilot exalto were 220tw and had great grip but in retrospect not as grippy as a R888.

And as MG said, no industry standard, so those R1Rs that toyo makes may very well have a much stickier compound than other 140tw tyres, maybe even the same as the r888 which is 100tw.

As a close estimate you can use a durometer to check the relative hardness of the tire compound (they can be gotten at longacre racing). This a reference.

Dead horse?
Must keep beating........

How come the website only has up to 2011 events (and not even the entire of 2011).
Who's sleeping on the job?

At this rate, will this club be functioning in the coming years?
Also does the upcoming BYCC has a driving school?

that's easy. who were the prior persons in charge of that (website)?
I'm fighting up with it for 2014. Been promised help and waiting on it. But I can continue in the same html look and update as the year goes by. It won't be pretty but will have the info.

The little write ups and pictures used to be nice.
Don't see anything on tuner as well.

Heck, no one even posts pictures/vids of the days events on the event topic anymore.
My what have we come to?
