As you may have known TTPS Northen Division has stopped the following events.
12th Jan (ARC) - ARA Drag & Winding #1. - citing the following reasons ( permission from the North Eastern Division to break the speed limit, EMA approval, Insurance (which the event has) but still allowing timed fun runs.
26th Jan (Lennox Yearwood Expressway) - Arima Grand Prix - Reason given: crime risk hotspot. Still allowed runs but inside the Larry Gomes stadium carpark.
9th Feb (ARC) - TTKA #1 - Reason given: crime risk hotspot. Armed police said nothing will take place.

Since 12th January we have been trying to find out what is needed to continue having events. CARS has necessary permissions and insurances, and Arima not being in a curfew (even though CARS has had events during the last S.O.E. which were ended at a time allowing all to not break the then curfew), and other tenants are allowed the enjoyment of their properties during the hotspot period (Soca Monarch in Arima Velodrome on the 9th Feb at 7pm, and ARC horse racing on Sat 8th Feb at ARC). Including the bars and other businesses which also remained open.

CARS also successfully held it's BYCC and driving school on the 2nd February.
In light of all this, and not as an act of defiance, but rather doing something lawful................

CARS is holding it's first competition event for 2014 on Sunday 9th March at ARC Santa Rosa.

1. Open timed runs on the course for all those participating

All non members participating cost:$140

if police shut the event down, I'm assuming we still have to pay for tents right....think you guys need to state that here just in case...last thing u want is someone quarreling about getting a tent refund
I should be there...once something in the garage can start :-/

But can they (CARS) on the arrival of the Police, change it to a "practice" event as a form of disguise?

Unfortunately correct, which is why it is so unfair to all involved.
Yet TTPS so far enforcing "hotspot law" only on a motorsport sunday. Horse racing takes place on saturdays with no such cancellations as testified by their having results for every raceday. http://www.arimaraceclub.com/RacingProgramme.html

CARS operating costs are currently non-refundable.
Even with TTPS cancellation CARS gets no refunds from ARC for the rental of the facility, The Tent rental company - for the booked tents & chairs, SWMCOL - toilet facilities, red cross - ambulance, dj - pa system, etc.
This doesn't mention simple basic stuff such as gas for generator, map printing, etc, administration and implementation, and the time, effort, and fuel the exec uses to put these things in place. The costs do add up.

It is the slow methodical attempt at bankrupting the users of ARC thus far, by having us invest in the usage of a property without being able to offset our costs of operation.

Question, would a pickup (Mazda B2500) be allowed to run on the course?
