I can't explain how the Bajan economy works because all of those expensive machines and owners reside there but how in the world do they afford so many of them on a non petrochemical economy.

A good government who is interested in seeing the sport thrive .

motorsport there is like a religion.
We got onto the stage on Sunday at 6:30am and there was already a large crowd there.

Alot of the cars are from foreign countries though. Barbados nets about BDS$2million in tourism dollars for the weekend of the rally. That's TT$6million injected into the economy over a weekend for a motorsport event that's free of charge for spectators.

The key is to get the government behind you , if you are fighting against them you are wasting your time.
