oh lardddddddddddddddd........ :? ....lissen.....

dual 4 = 2 or 8 ohm configeration
dual 2 = 1 or 4 ohm configeration

if u use 2 dual 4 subs......u will either get a 4 or a 1 ohm load depending on if u parallel or series the speaker...

if u use 2 dual 2 subs then u will either get a 2 or a .5 ohm load......think of the ohmage as the numerator and the number of subs as the denominator.......

4ohms <<<<<numerator
----------
2subs <<<<<<<denominator

= 2 ohm load....

GET IT??????

serious question here...

bridging on the amp interferes with ohm load?

dat jus confuse me further...
nice read and everything but i not sure if it answer my question...

So let's say I have a 2-channel brigeable amp stable @ 2 ohms, and 1 svc 4 ohm sub. if i bridge the channels, is it still 4 ohms? or is it 2 or 8 ohms now...

:?: :?: :?:

that stay constant ...its the ohms on the subs that u have to configure to play with the amp.. a 2 ch amp stable at 2 ohms will not change.. if u try to go lower than 2 ohm it wil either burn up or go into protection .. therefore u configure ur sub which is a 4 ohm .. now it means ur amp will see a 4 ohm load and give out its rated power at 4 ohm.. now if u add a second sub it increases the load and the amp sees a 2 ohm load and gives out more power...

simple?

so if i have a dvc 4ohm hooked separately to the two channels on the amp(i.e. 1 coil per channel), it sees 2ohms?

ok i understand everything yuh say here right but is that concerning SVC?

cuz the big blue text say dual 4 could be 2ohm or 4ohm right so when doin the ohm as numerator and number of speakers as denominator i have to put which ever ohm i usin ? or becuz it is a dual **4 OHM** i will still use 4 as the numerator?

yea. a dvc is jus 2 coils actin like 2 separate subs.

but d big blue tex say 2 or 8 eh

yes 4 is the numerator. each coil acts as a sub

ALL EXAMPLES ARE DVC 4OHM AND A 2CH BRIDEABLE AMP STABLE @ WHATEVER OHM

Number 1)
Image
Here, where red is + and black is -, each coil wired independently.
What ohmage is this?

Number 2)

I know this is 2 ohm load going to the amp, but as it is bridged there is this 4 ohm mono?

Number 3 & 4)
Image
Wire sent to other coil then to amp
Image
Both wires sent to amp

3 - Is there a difference?
4 - If yes, what is the ohmage in each case. If no, what is the ohmage?

not too sure if i remember this correctly eh...cuz i always forgetting which is series and which is parrallel...anyways...this one i believe is 8ohms...both are the same...i not seeeing the difference other than that u just wiring to have a single terminal in the box rather than the use of 2..... :? ...i could be wrong
