I did an install in my friend's car with this phoenix gold sd800.5 under the passenger seat in an almera.I used infinity 6" coaxials and 6x9's which are 2ohm to obtain full power per channel as well as a memphis sub at 2ohm.it played really clean considering it just deck and amp and no external processors. it may not be totally mini but it has a small size with a decent amount of power and was really clean. For the price it was worth it, since the JL xd series was at least about $1300-$1500 more and i was working with a budget -paid $2000 by steve's elec. it also simplified the install with one amp.

Was the size of my wallet.

Saw them...in fact, almost didnt see them at Sound Research in Gulf city earlier.

They were in the box however so didnt get a good gauge of the size but they do look very small.

De "new" Corolla

So far the Sonido Mask FX 200.4 meets my requirements:

1. 100 x 4 @ 4ohms
2. 9.9" x 6.65" x 2.28"
3. Price is $1350

Is to figure out where I putting it that they don't find it. Trying to limit the total wire run to 4 guage, no bigger.

Still open to suggestions.

run the 4 gauge along the OEM wires - and put in a wire loom and tape it to look just like any normal OEM engine harness

That amp isnt small

Most of the nano amps use at least 8awg and they are the size of your wallet.

If you looking to run a full system you might have to double that budget and run two.

Or just do a stealth install.

I haven't used any but I saw smd test the soundigital and Rockford fosgate. Good reviews.

I was hoping for tuners that bought any of the others to chime in and give some sort of a review by now but like people have a hard time believing an amp the size of their wallet does the same job as one the size of a DVD player.

I think the only drawback on the rf however is that it cannot be bridged. Other than that it uses 10awg b+ and gnd. Although the nano amps cost a little more you save in the wiring expenses if you total up 10awg wire and fuse holder costs as opposed to 4awg.

Some will say the clarion and alpine booster are not amps but what are they? I use my amps for only amplification, no use of the onboard xovers and bass boost etc etc. I will actually love of they made some amps without all that and reduce the prices. Some old school pioneer decks had the booster and they used to sing.

What you got in mind to try out?

As for classification of nano and mini I guess we can agree at 6" and less in width and use 8awg or less for power and ground.
No definite price limit.
