Pios deck problem

I wonder if there are any technicians in here...
I got an old deck from someone who upgraded. The deck output ic blew apparently. The guy said he used the preamp output. I powered it up and was getting a loud repeating thump signal to the amps. What might be causing that?

If I replace the amp ic, could that do the trick? Btw i really was just going to use it as a signal source, If I can get rid of the thumping noise without scraping an ic from another deck I'd prefer that option.

that would be the preout resistor burnt,you would need to ground your rca or go by a technician n have him replace the resistor
