Bad experience with the nano series. The white one and PP is the same amp basically which seems to have an over heating problem...burning resistors. SS and PP are a waste in my book.

I have a four channel rockford t1000.4ad amp. It is a class ad. The amp is damaged and when it is playing I am only hearing a static type sound from the speakers.
I am using morel tempo components in front. tempo coaxials in the back doors and a sundown sa12 sub. All have been running off the rockford. The head unit is the pioneer 80prs.

Can you recommend anyone who might be able to repair this amp ?

Also, the amp was placed under the passenger seat and tended to get hot so not sure if this was the problem cause.

Thanks

maybe u didnt notice i also have that in my shop too , there is 600.4 , 650 mono , 5 chan too

about 2yrs ago i decided to carry it based on reviews from a very respected installer who uses it in installs & he said he never got any problems with them , but he recommends using a fan or 2 on ANY amp\s installed under seats or areas with poor air circulation

i have a small neat mtx 4chan & mono [each is around 6.5x11"] that sounds & works really well but obviously will need a bigger budget , around mid 3k ...

I will like to believe mini amps will need better coolibg than normal amps because of how compact they are.
People whom have been having failures, do they have cooling? Under the seat is hard to get air circulated.

Seen guys abroad using the sound stream minis and have good reviews.

saw some reviews on the picasso nano amps from soundstream and all are pretty good...it is a high rated amp online and most say with coolings its better and to separate the amps also like different amp for midrange and mono one channel for bass...think i would just order them online and buy the speakers in trinidad

Why is it better to separate the amps?

from what I've been told is that it would just put less pressure on the amps instaed of doing an all in one

there isnt any 1 single perfect rule to follow but for "normal" daily use systems u normally start with choosing bass 1st , unless ur a sq purist where ur front stage will play 90% of ur music & bass is really subtle to fill in d freqs ur front speakers cant do efficiently

for daily use - ur chosen level of bass , listening habits , if u listening IN car or OUT of car & type of music u mostly play shud determine d rest , meaning whether its car speakers [coax, comps, midrange made for cars] , dj made loudspeakers , tweeters or even drivers , head unit &\or additional processing

some ppl like "barking mids" with a lil bass , "50-50" or if ur like me : 1k on bass with enclosure tuned in d 20s & 1 pair of comps even off deck power & i good

so its all up to u & ur budget ... :|

I have been using a 5 channel some time now in my daily ride. Does not disappoint in any way.

There is a dude selling some alpine pdx amps reasonable on the forum. Can look into the 4 channel, RIPS is an advantage in my book.

A five channel amplifier is your best bet. I'm sure that you can find options out there to suit your budget. Unfortunately I don't have anything that falls within your budget.

You only put strain on the amplifiers if you're running it full tilt, however this is NOT a good way to use the amplifiers if you want good clean sound. Leave head room, ie. only use ~75% of what the amplifier is rated for, 50% is ideal. This helps with distortion as well as cooling.

Most likely they will have your thread deleted or edited for calling their name.

But same people you talking about, never hear of any equipment purchased from them working for long.
