how do you power that 4 inch midrange without blowing it?

I also notice some of those other midranges need 2- 3 litres sealed to achieve that response. how do u manage to supply it with that much space on the a pillar?

Used or new?

I have a set of drivers that I recently removed from my previous install that I will part with for a reasonable price.

DynAudio
Esotec MD102 1" Soft Done Tweeter
Esotec MD142 3" Dome Midrange
Esotec MW162 6-1/2" Woofer

I got some Morel MT23 tweeters and Hybrid 6" mid bass drivers by Safe and Sound in Marabella. I assume they may have the midrange drivers also. Highly recommended. Excellent drivers and second to none service.

If you`re crossing a mid over 250hz up, airspace is not really an issue. Also, and it can do 102db with 32 watts. Mounting it in a pillar maybe tough. Most mids I`ve seen, if they handle more power aren`t as sensitive because the coil is now heavier. Thats the trade off. Really tough to get a matching brand set.

The best tested midrange has been the Scanspeak 10F but thas like 100us and handles 15 watts rms.

you can try this tymphany if youre willing to go different brand on the mid.

Seeing good reviews on the tang band bamboo 3" and 4" as a mid as well.

I actually thought of using a set with some exodus anarchy woofers. But tough luck finding the exodus.
Still contemplating using a set with my morels but I understand it's very tricky to get that arrangement right.

Hybrid Audio Technologies.

Either Unity, or Legatia will suit you fine.

IF you're on a budget:

https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/s ... wool-cone/ (I currently have mine crossed at 50hz with a 24db slope. DEADEN your doors!!!)

Paired with:

https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/a ... ull-range/

-I've had better-than-expected results with these. :drinking:

I have the h800 sitting here and would really like to utilise it fully hence me wanting to go 3 way active.

I need to search around in the car some more because I think it has a spot for a centre speaker on the dashboard.

Are these available? I know the site is there, not sure if they were in stock.

You have me thinking now.
