Does anyone know the resonant frequency of the Mazda Bj wagon by chance?

an interesting post for once...

Doubt anyone knows offhand.
Might have to run a test, run a frequency sweep and record it with ur phone, then analyse it in Audacity.
You'll see the peaks/dips

You can use a home stereo sub if you have no subs as yet (Im assuming you want this info to design the sub box so you have nothing to test with)
Or borrow a padnah sub box

Are you trying to turn your car's audio system into a one-note wonder SPL vehicle?

Note that if you do so, it's likely going to sound like crap when playing music.

Anyway, ruffneck's got the right idea - best thing to do would be to measure it. Measure the response of a sealed sub using the close-miked method, put it in your car, measure the response again where the SPL measurements are going to be taken (usually at the dash), subtract the two and that's your car's transfer function. There will likely be a peak in the response around 50~60 Hz - that would be your car's resonant frequency.

Or, you can accidentally stumble across it, like I did in this thread - http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofe ... -cars.html
