Help!!!! Pioneer avh-x4700bs

Postby Chad69 » November 29th, 2017, 7:15 pm

Has anyone experienced these symptoms with the deck mentioned above? If yes pls help, recommend a fix or someone who can repair it.
Only when the deck is cold or now starting up for the first time for the day...it cuts off and on about 5-8 times. When it stays on it plays fine until it's off for a long time again.

seems like a cold solder issue

When it heats up it expands so it remains in contact.

You could probably do an oven reflow like what they do for PC graphics cards. But get somebody to do that for you

I got this issue with a 4800 model.
I had it replaced under warranty.
The installer said they dont repair that so they replaced it.
