Pico fuse is still a problem with men tho?? proper grounding and power, and i haven't encountered that problem in ages

once you careful and know what you doing then yea you shouldn't have the pico fuse problem so yea ur right...my issue is that in this day and age that shouldn't even be a problem anymore tho cuz its not like pioneer doesn't know about it and yet they still using pico technology on their HUs. I've had friends that never did a RCA hot swap and got blown pico fuses from other ways. Some ppl lucky and some aren't...i consider myself in the latter lol

Nerve what about the top of the cab?? Any intentions of adding dampening to it??

I put in back my sundowns and it's flex city in the cab.

Picked up a half gallon of epoxy resin for the sub box and some mat. Customer service sure does suck ass in some places. Makes me wonder how and why they still in business.

Ive found that a little wd40 helps the wires slide through the rubbers from the body to the doors easy.

Heat shrink kit purchased from allied industrial, my next home



I put a little silicone on it prior to heat shrinking it. Helps with an air tight seal

JBL speakers cannot fit, the motor cant even get through the hole.

Nerve, was the mdf only painted prior to the jbl install?

Nice progress so far.... Cutting metal sometimes become inevitable. I once had 8inchers on my cedia doors, so I know how it is.

Those MDF baffles are recycled form the subaru. They been installed since I had the car, hardly even used and about a year now the car had no head unit. I gutted the audio system this year and doing over both.
The baffles are coated with polyester resin and sprayed with remnants of what was left of my under body coating. Used silicone to form an air tight seal on the door but the door was never dampened (keeping the weight down).

Trying to use them back here to save time.

I guess some chopping has to be done. Will cut em up soon but will do a little hw on rust prevention and treating raw metal.

I would get new baffles. Take the time to do it right. Those recycled baffles may cost more in the long run, plus you'll have the peace of mind that you have good stuff on the doors.

Considering PVC or HDPE right now. No sense in rushing it now. Have to take my time as door still have to cut etc

Nope..
Was kinda hard to cut with the disc and the angle of the tool.
May neaten it up tomorrow. So far both fits.
Have to get some primer and paint it..
Have ac foam tape.

I cutting away under a sheet so sparks dont go on the vehicle. Felt a shake so thought was the momz come in the truck to see what I doing. Then I feel some mire shake, said to myself like something wrong, someone jumping in the tray?
Come out and see truck rocking from side to side yes.

take a pencil or thin point marker , use a circle to draw a guide line & grind little at a time ... it done do so doh hot up head , like u say neaten it best u can , primer & paint d bare metal

decouple d baffle from d metal with 2 sided tape & apply some sealer around baffle & metal to prevent any leaks , let it dry b4 u put on d speaker ....
