Who has ventured into these systems?
How do you like them?
Has it met or surpassed expectations?

Seeing the Dayton Audio offers their system for sub 200usd would you consider dipping to your doubles fund to give them a go?

Feel free to discuss, the control these systems allow are sublime.

I use a db drive edsp31 which is most similar to the Dayton, in a home audio setup, that unit is less than 2k. I think for 95 percent of users, units like that and the Dayton etc is more than enough. if you really think you need more than sub, low, mid and high, with a good eq, you need to look at driver choices and system design.

I think a lot of the newer units are really catering for new cars with more advanced factory systems that you have to integrate into maybe because the infotainment system is tied too strongly into other vehicle systems. check out 5star car stereo on youtube for a really comprehensive rundown of the Audiocontrol unit.

As previously mentioned, the Dayton DSP408 is great for its price. And they also come with a 12V PSU so can be used outside of car audio too (I just implemented one in my brother's bar). The only things that would make it better would be support for six inputs instead of four, and support for dynamic EQ and compression (like what the DSP section of the Behringer iNuke amps provides).

That AudioControi DM608 does look tempting though!

Did the training with audio control in 2017 in vegas

I am also looking at the dm rta as its cheaper than sending my 3055 back to audio control to have recalibrated plus there are so much more features on it

The DM-RTA does look an interesting piece of kit.
