This is what i found,
Spider gear:
A small gear (usually in a set of two to four gears) mounted on a shaft pinned to the differential case. They mesh with the bevel gear on the ends of the axles and drive them, similar to the pinion gear I believe.

You sure that is the problem? You need to go by a tranny specialist. I have the number for a guy that did some good work on my brothers b16a gearbox will try and link you up with it. Is this the 4age gearbox?

the spider gears allow the axles to oppose one another for conering, when they are locked in place both wheels turn at the same rpm....

i stripped my 4 spiders in my lancer on saturday, now i gonna weld those beyotches together......both wheels spinning toghether now.....

when ah turning ah go be biting up road like a truck jacknifing
