Rim size and warranty

Postby Anton » June 11th, 2008, 7:51 am

Hey fellas, anybody knows what the official warranty policy is on plus size wheels for new vehicles from the firm. Is it that you can only increase the oem rim size by +1 or can you go +2 once the overall rolling circumference is the same? Will the weight of the aftermarket combo also affect the warranty?

Thanks.

Rim Size and Warranty

I drive a 4x2 Toyota Hilux. Info from service manager, Barataria, states that one can go up a max of two sizes. That is to a size 17 up from the standard 15.

Best to call the service manager of respective dealers to determine possible conflicts with warranties.

Thanks for the advice bro. I already asked the sales rep and he said he'll get confirmation from the service dept for me. Was trying to get any first hand experiences when it comes to servicing and plus sized wheels.

it's the same for insurance eh...and once the car is new and under warranty and covered full comp, only +2 sizes is allowed and insurance MUST be informed.
