I have a 20v silvertop in a AE91, but everytime I use the A/C I have to reset ECU since my RPM's drop real low. Any one have any issues like that with their 20v silvertop?

Had the same problem with my ST ages ago. Have a mechanic that specializes in these engines, sorted it out in ten mins. PM if u want his contact.

Have a box with the number on it I can look for, if you still need it.

These aren't the manufacturer spec, but these engines work better with these iridium plugs. I can't recall exactly why but I've spoken to a lot of knowledgeable people and these are much better for the engine. If you want the actual part number Toyota uses originally with these engines it's the one on the old plug I attached

^^^
Thanks bro

My cuz bought a 101 corolla with 20v ST
his mechanic threw away the original plugs and changed them with some cheap NGK.
He says the engine isnt performing well and he wants to switch back to the OEM spec.

I believe he should throw the mechanic away too. These engines rel temperamental if you screw them up, and obviously that person isn't too knowledgeable about them. I have a mechanic that deals solely with Toyota vehicles and been fixing these engines long time that I deal with if you like.

Can anyone tell me why the Crankshaft timing gear key would eat into the Timing gear like this? This is the second time this has happened.

I really don't want this happening again since i cannot source these timing gears locally

Changing out the gearbox in my Levin. Wna get a slightly more aggressive clutch and pressure plate. Anyone knows where I can get one? Maybe like the stage 1 Exedy.

I'm seeing them on eBay but the car's down already so I'd prefer to get it locally. But if I don't have a choice, does anyone also know if the RWD and FWD 4AGE have the same clutch? And if the MR2 4age has the same clutch as the normal fwd 4age as well.

Any body plan to turbo a 4age 16V engine check me for pistons, timing belt etc. Have parts which were never used and I no longer need.
