Vios rear disc brakes

Postby Anton » December 3rd, 2010, 8:34 am

Anyone ever examined the early model vios rear disc brakes to see if it might be possible to mount on the '08 and '09 yaris?

not to sure about that bro, the vios brake system is the same as the nze corolla, pads and rotors are identical, the yaris however is different

Anton,
The fellas who could have helped you in 2010, when you first posted the thread are by now possibly dead, have migrated, or don't bother with Trinituner anymore.
My 2 cents is that if after driving that car for 6 years without disc brakes in the back, there is no point in installing it at this point in time. That is just free work with time and money being spent. (you could use that money in buying an updated car that has factory disc brakes.)
Besides, people have to drive slower now, and since 2010 there is a lot more traffic on the road, so you are still driving slower. Drum brakes have proven their worth with you. Not so ?

Peace.

Thanks buddy. I'm dealing with an issue with one of the rear hubs and as it may possibly lead to a replacement, I'm looking at options.
