Go to your favourite parts place and buy a quart of Dexron 3 ATF (automatic transmission fluid)
Should be about $40.. Brand doesn't matter too much. Change the fluid every year.

are you saying to use ATF instead of power steering fluid?
I use the redline power steering fluid, works great so far

^^^ ummm...the OP stated that the car's manual said to use dextron 2 or 3 ATF. My AE101 and the Fielder both used ATF as per the manual (it's written on the reservoir cap as well).

What does your manual say?
