The NZE Corolla Thread

Im just following the pattern from the Fielder Q & A Thread and since the forum is filled with numerous threads on the NZE, I thought it may be helpful to users of the toyota forum to have any questions and answers complied into one thread.

So local used NZE, foreign used NZE feel free to ask your questions here and I'm sure the Toyota Guru's here will be able to answer them.

I'll go 1st, any one ever repair their electronic steering rack?

Blessed day. Am the owner of a Toyota corolla nze wagon, manf. date 2006. I recently purchase a new battery and since after my instrument panel started malfunctioning. Presently the following is not working, gas and temp gauges, speedometer and tachometer, power steering, engine check light is on, over driver not working, sensor for the seat belt not working and light remains on. Also my music makes an annoying noise upon switching off. I purchase a used instrument panel but got no favorable response. Any help is needed. Thanks much.

Check Bobby's Auto Supplies 662-3375

They would be made in taiwan though, but they do the job well.

Use Toyota transmission fluid. About $50-55 a quart. If I remember correctly you would need about four quarts.

Try resetting your ECU. Do a diagnostic. Let us know what you get.

Hey Guys.

1. Intermittently when I start my local 2004 NZE (65000km), I hear a short buzzing sound.
2. When driving I am hearing a rumbling noise, does not increase when I accelerate, stops when I come to a stop.
3. Was told the front and rear mounts need changing, is this normal and how easy is it to do?

Responses appreciated.
Thanks.
