This is the steering knock that I'm getting when turning the steering left to right fast. 141 local corolla. I ordered that intermediate shaft, should be here by next week. If it solves the problem I will post it here.

May need to turn up the volume.

Sorry I just used the name that Toyota called it in the parts catalog. It's the steering intermediate shaft.

So i was mistaken as to which steering rack i got. the mechanic corrected me saying i got the wrong one and i'm supposed to get the manual/fluidless/electric rack. Autoyama has it for $1800, but i didnt get it one time.

Now i gotta start over my search, unless anyone can recommend a place for the electric steering rack.

thanks

I got 06 nze corolla and it makes a clunking sound on the right side on bumpy roads but it's doesn't make the noise of I apply the brakes on the same bumps. I jacked up the car and did the shake test and used a crowbar to move the wheel up and down to check the ball joint but no excess movement. Any advice before I take apart the entire suspension. Trying to save some time and money.

Check the caliper hardware /clips might be worn.

Check d back shocks... there's a black plastic on d inside of the spring that shakes around for some reason. Sounds like a plastic ball bouncing on the floor?

Hi all. I posted a question concerning the VVT solenoid in an NZFE in the general Toyota forum, Perhaps here might be better....

My nze is idling at 2000 rpm. the a/c has stopped working. When drive is engaged it goes down to about 1200 RPm. I recently changed the vvt solenoid and was told that if the solenoid is bad, the ac and idle speeds are affected. This seems strange.... any thoughts?

I want to zero in on the IAC valve.....

Any help appreciated.

Are you sure the vvt solenoid is facing the correct direction when you mounted it back up? I had that problem when I disassembled mine, took it back out and lined it up properly and everything was normal.

So I was thinking..... That solenoid could go in one direction only, otherwise it wouldn't be able to be bolted in. At least on mine.....

Thanks

The stem can come out from the outside piece, so if that is reassembled wrong, that would cause that problem. Most likely is not that, but if you didn't disassemble the solenoid it supposed to be good.

I can't remember if it has an idle screw adjustment on the throttle body, can check that too

Good day folks,Anyone has a pair of busted front control arms to throw/give away? I bought an Energy Suspension control arm kit but apparently the large bushing in my arms were changed to a replacement part ( Taiwan I'm guessing ) and only the original pin from the Toyota bushing will fit.
