Thanks in advance for any feedbacks?

they are pretty durable cars. the main issues they have are with the transmission if it was abused and the ac compressor. the compressor is pricey even used it goes for like $2000. the japanese version has the 1nz engine which is pretty cheap to replace. ive seen a head and block for like $2500 for the most. the singapore nze have the 1zz or the 3zz engine im not to sure but its a bit more expensive to replace that one

Just to add, the 1nz and 1zz/3zz engines are not compatible. If you're have to do conversion, they require rewiring... Plus u have to find a 3zz engine first. 1zz a lil easier to find

Did you try it on 3rd gear and 4th gear (using the O/D button)? Could be something as simple as the exhaust rattling at that engine speed

Hey Tuners,

Looking for a rear spring replacement for roro nze121. The current setup too soft the car squats under load. Is it possible to install a stiffer shock or replace the spring with the fielder rear spring setup if that is possible. The local Nze121 came with the rough road package and their springs are super stiff compared to the roro nze121s.

If there is no speed sensor on the tranny most likely your speed signal is from the abs over CAN.

Yes the nze121s rely on the abs system for engine speed which goes to the cluster then to the ecu I think. They only have one ecu unlike some older cars or newer cars with two "ecus"

I had a similar problem, beside the steering getting hard, the car would want to shut down, radio would reset, etc. Finally I realized that the problem was an OBDII dongle I had plugged in to use with my smart phone. Apparently it remained on after the car is shut down and was slowly draining my battery.

This went on for months before I realized. I finally removed it and have not had the problem since.

the 3zz engine and tranny is expensive (transmission alone is like 7000) . if you cant find it the 1zz engine and transmission will fit with no modifications so its an option you can consider because its much cheaper
