Finally got through. Did the scan, nothing showed up. Checked and cleaned the throttle. That improve it a little. The van would start but it was always on the verge of cutting off. The mechanic noticed that there was a funny smell when starting. Turns out the airflow sensor was the problem. The sensor wasn't allowing a proper airflow mix - he cleaned it yesterday and that solved the issue. Starts fine whether hot or cold now. Did everything at Service Terminal on Evans Street opposite massy in St Augustine. Thanks for all the suggestions!
