Altis Idling rough when AC on

Postby Nick_2NR » December 19th, 2016, 8:53 am

Toyota Altis 1.6

When in bumper to bumper traffic, my vehicle idles rough with the AC on. It never occurs when traffic is flowing, almost always when stopped or rolling at idle (when receiving load).
By "rough" I mean the rpms will dip, and then recover. I have lost power a few times in traffic because of this and had to tumble to restart car. Turning the AC off, the rpms would immediately recover and stabilize. There is no doubt that's this occurs ONLY when AC is on. Air also sometimes goes hot when this occurs.

I checked the belts and they are in good condition. Tensioner and Throttle body was changed as well.

What could be the issue here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this identical problem with my altis....Did changing the sensor work? The same thing happens to me when I am in traffic or when I have to mash brakes suddenly.......
