PCV Valve Bypass

Postby dtopshottas » March 29th, 2018, 8:52 pm

Hey Tuners,
I have an old 1.5 NZE (2873900 km) and the oil rings are toast so a lot of oil vapors end up in the throttle body. I was thinking to run the PCV to atmosphere since its a check valve and block the hose going to the intake manifold. Has anyone one this before and is this safe on the engine?

Usually if u don't run the hose to the throttle, the idle would either raise or drop so I think you would need to run it to the tb

You can run a cheap catch can or plug the hose on the intake manifold and run the pcv hose into a bottle. Ghetto/Sketchy but it works. Vacuum is not compromised so the engine runs
