BrotherHood wrote:The engine in these are 4G18 and the transmission is CVT(belt driven). The transmission requires only the recommended grade (Mitsubishi ATF SPIII). Using any other transmission but this will damage the transmission. The transmission is a bit delicate and not like conventional transmissions so it's not a transmission tat you want to rough up often.
Only major problem these cars run into is with the transmission and that's because of disregard to maintenance. Maintain properly and on time and you should be fine.

rollingstock wrote:Most likely 4g18 efi, but if you're interested in purchasing the vehicle what is so hard with opening the bonnet and having a look. It would be a lot easier than venturing a guess online and getting wrong info.

I don't think the pic you posted has the GDI engine and also, this is the long bumper CS3.
Why you saying CS2?
BrotherHood wrote:Well you have confirmed that it's not GDI. GDI is a bit more troublesome. The CS lancer overall is a great car. I have one and would tell anybody to buy one.

GDI is not troublesome it just needs a little more maintenance.
Clean the throttle body every month or so and you'll be fine.
Install an oil catch can after the PCV valve and blank the EGR and that GDI will live longer than you.icefox wrote:BrotherHood wrote:icefox, 4G13= 1300cc, 4G15=1500cc, 4G18=1600cc.

Thats a CS2.
Whats the price?
ZeroOne wrote:Thats the standard price.
ZeroOne wrote:Oh HO.
I now see. I thought it had all those features like tacho, etc.
Thats too expensive IMHO.
Fully loaded CS3's (which come with flare kit. fogs, the 1.6 engine which is bigger than the 1.5 in the CS2) sell for about 80k RORO.
