It happened every 3 weeks then every week I had to clean the terminal. Eventually I noticed the clamp fitting very loose which lead me to believe ( or so I taught ) the battery terminal is wearing thin due to constant cleaning.
I bought a pair of those rings you put on the terminals for corrosion and an adaptor to take up the looseness on the pole but this just slowed it down not stop it.
I then started every week to wash out the corrosion with baking soda, this did a good job as compared to removing the clamp from the terminal and cleaning with wire brush.
Last week I had the same problem , car not cranking, washed out terminal and pole with baking soda to remove corrosion. This however did not work for when I removed the clamp the copper material was almost eaten away by corrosion : it was paper thin.
Removing what left of the copper clamp is now problem since the bolt connecting it to the fuse-able link block will not budge. The block is made of plastic which is now distorting or risk braking if any force is applied to remove the bolt to change the clamp.
My car is now down for a stupid copper clamp.
