UPDATE: MARCH 9 2010

Fellow tuners. Thanks for keeping this thread so alive. I can't believe the interest this car is still creating. Thanks for all of your questions and comments.

I had an unexpected glitch with the cosworth head. Well, the head is perfect but basically Cosworth had redesigned a particular area of their EVO X heads (compared to stock) in order to make more power. We wasted some time on the build because the correct thing was not being done initially. I jumped in at that point and called Cosworth for an explanation. They were very helpful, very specific and I was more than satisfied. I actually spoke to THE person who built my head. Along with that, I was told that there are only 10 EVO X cosworth heads sold thus far.
I got past this issue as it was no fault of Cosworth, but one of an initial misunderstanding. We are back on track and we are currently awaiting some items to come in and the head will be up shortly.

In the meantime I still need to break-in the 2.3 block. I've got to put on about 1000kms and I'm up to 300kms. Will change the oil next week and continue until I get to JUN's prescribed break in advice. So I've been driving up and down the highway and beginning to realize the incredible difference with this JUN built block. I'm feeling about 35% more torque, and I'm not crossing 4000RPM yet. For the engine break in, I'm running the stock map with stock injectors. Car still needs to be tuned .

The car feels incredible. It feels well built, formidable, sturdy, very driveable and fun. I know it can turn into a beast as well.

Thanks again tuners and stay tuned....

Ever thought of the option of the Hipermax Sport with the rubber mounts? That is an option for less than ideal pavement according to the write up on vivid. Its basically the same write up from HKS posted on all sites. Found mine on evasivemotorsport.com for a tad less.
Was thinking of going 18's instead of 19's just to be on the safe side i.e. more rubber between the road and my rims lol

Excellent work DTERLTD.

I've got the CF trunk but not the bonnet. Waiting on a particular one to be released then I will get that one. Must admit that I didn't expect the trunk to look that good.

Oh snap sorry about that. :) It was all so fast! You red is so dark and nice it really looked like you had a CF bonnet as well. I was on the southbound so I saw the back for a little longer :)

As I said Excellent work DTERLTD keep it up.

I kinda researched the tire and wheel setup for this car until I found what I wanted. Evolutionm.net has a great thread with fitment sizes and values for many different wheels and sizes. Check it out. I'm sure it will be helpful.

Oh another question. With all this money you are spending on the car do you use the factory fluids or aftermarket? From my research most guys seem to prefer amsoil in the transfer cases and gear box and neither here nor there with the Mobile1 for the engine.

UPDATE: MARCH 16 2010

Engine run-in is still going on. I'm now approaching 500kms. Time for the first oil change and continue to the next 500kms.

The Cosworth head requires different sizes of buckets to compensate for the clearance. Mitsubishi stocks various sizes of buckets for this purpose. This is the correct way, the safest way to compensate for clearance.

CARVtech PC Limited (www.carvtechpc.com) is now spearheading this project until final tune and completion. They have my Cosworth head and will ensure the correct size buckets are installed. Very knowledgeable, very professional.

BIGtoe would be correct.

The March is not part of this thread so we'll all agree to keep it out, thanks.

On behalf of CARVtech PC we are pleased to have this vehicle as one of our projects. It fits with us nicely: No compromise, no parallel, no false claims.

UPDATE: APRIL 17 2010

CARVTechPC is on track with the finishing touches. All the correct sized buckets are going to be here very shortly if not already. They will install the 16 buckets into the Cosworth head then remove the stock EVO X head and install the Cosworth one.

Once all the mechanical is done to satisfaction, I guess tuning would be the next step.

Almost on the home stretch tuners!!

Upon completion of the tuning, an entirely new photo shoot will be done. Photographers feel free to contact me. Additionally many of you have been waiting on video. The intention is to get some video of some dyno runs and street runs, all of which will be posted right here on TriniTuner.com, exclusively of course. Stay tuned.

As always I will keep you guys up to date.
