the 2.0L lancer is designed for 92RON, super. not sure if the 2.0L coming with the galant is the same 2.0 the local ones have.

He is quite right, its designed for super. i have one 2yrs now bought foreign used, using super 2.0l cvt . I tried using premium a few times , i burnt $50 gas from central to pos and back as compared to a mere $20 on super. Not to mention a serious lost of power when i ran premium, even the manual recommends super

You really think mixing fuels off different octane ratings is good for your engine? You are reducing the serviceable life of your engine (forget what the old people tell you). BTW the galant fortis is the 2.0 (4B11) it can run on super all day every day quite happy.

H&B is the only place i have found that has a variety of parts for them, engine, tranny, radiator, fans, headlights , complete front and rear cut etc. Out of curiosity i asked the cost of a engine alone no tranny, d guy said $18000. He also said as d parts come in they going like hot bread despite d high prices. Proud owner of a galant fortis myself no complaints

Why in the world would you need a new engine on a two-three year old car?

those 4B11's was designed for super as per manual, when i bought my car foreign used i found one under the seat stating same, trust me i filled up with premium two times when there was no super available at the time i was in the gas station since i had this car 2yrs now and on both occasions burnt $60 gas from central to pos to and from compared to the usual $20 super. The car doesn respond the same on the throttle and i had to visit the gas station same day after filling up my tank earlier in the morning. This question has also been answered in the CY lancer thread many times.

the 4B11 was not designed to use super. The mitsubishi engines ECU can adjust its timing based on the fuel octane hence bring able to use lower rating fuels for brief peroids. In My GT I use premium as the manual states 92 Ron. I choose to do this due to several reports off our fuel being a lower Ron rating than that advertised. When I used super I got 75km less per tank and the engine was much noiser than usual and idle was a bit rougher. The car was also sluggish on the super. I would suggest to you star23 to reset the ECU.

May I ask what type of spark plug your GT carries, is it the FR5EI?

Can an aftermarket full body kit including grille, side skirts, spoiler for a 2008-2012 lancer ex work on a Galant Fortis?

For example this kit on amazon:
