Ck4 calipers...help...

Postby k.c.g. » November 19th, 2015, 11:46 am

Been having some braking problems for a while now,,,local Ck4...brakes dont work properly at all,,,changed shoes,,,using wagner pads,,,changed master cylinder 2 times and the booster also,,,serviced the caliper an all and still in the same position....

Mechanic advised that i change the calipers so seeing that i did everything else I am willing to do that...plus the clips that hold the pads in place are not there,,,would this affect the braking,,,the pedal feels fine but no matter how hard i mash there is hardly any difference,,,the car jus keeps rolling...

Also is there anything wrong with the Wagner pads...

I am getting a set of cedia calipers at no charge but would they work...

Any advice would be highly appreciated...

Thanks...

First advice, get rid of that Wagner rubbish, they cut rotors an in my experience don't hold properly. I think almera brake pads are the same, once they are the same shape, go by motorist and buy a set of original almera brake pads, just carry the old CK one for reference. You should get the clips to buy as well

X2

Almera/b15 are the same pad as the ck

Also the previous gen daihatsu terios carries the same pad

Also....if possible...try a set OEM CK pads and deglaze the rotors before installing.

U would be surprised at the braking performance!
