As the above stated, I need some info on a knocking sound I'm experiencing on my 4d65t diesel engine. I did a general service on the pump and injectors, I change oil every three months, I retard the pump and I notice the sound wasn't as loud as it would be, however when the engine gets cold it would give some problem to start and when it do. I will notice alot more smoke coming out from the exhaust.
I was told that is normal, just not use to that loud sound. Has anyone every experience this type of sound? and what was done to rectify the problem.
