Starting a project in January & need some insight.
Anyone here know if a 4G15DOHC head can be used on a 4G18 block & what's required to make it work? The car is wired for the 4G15 DOHC, can this swap use back the same wiring & ecu or will it need to be rewired & use the 4G18 ecu?

Run a search sins. A guy here did that a few years ago.
He never came back to update tho. But iirc it was doable. I think it had a slight issue with the timing belt.

Need to know what parts if any will be required for the swap, besides the usual timing belt change etc, as well as average cost for this type of conversion

Or should I just swap out the 4G15 dohc for a 4G18 head & block if that would be faster & simpler. I wonder would the 4G18 ecu plug in to the 4G15 wiring & would the 4G18 bolt up on the 4G15 transmission directly or would the flywheel need to change?
