4G15 DOHC IDLE PROBLEM HELP NEEDED

Postby kdwhiteoak09 » August 18th, 2018, 10:39 am

So I recently bought a CK2 lancer (local model) originally came with a carburetor 4g15 but it was converted to the 4g15 DOHC.

When i put on the a/c the car idles down really low when in neutral or park. When it is in drive or reverse it idles even lower to the point where it shuts off. I'm suspecting that it's the step up but i don't know where to find it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

It’s on the throttle body.

Look from the left side of the car, it’s located under the filter box hose that attaches to the intake manifold. It has a 6 pin jack

Try cleaning the idle sensor or adjusting the idle screw on the throttle body
If that doesn't work, contact me 392-4444, i have the idle sensors ( new and foreign used )

so i changed the idle air control valve but the same thing keeps happening. Not too sure about the next step in troubleshooting this. Does anyone have any advice? The ac compressor also trips off after 3000 rpm.
