if you looking for speed,

think again, not with the awd, the fwd has a little more pep, not much tho

but their are some minor mods that can be done,
decat, lightened pulley, k&n to increase performance slightly

you all can search here in this section for mods to a ts or check
www.scoobytnt.com

Tr1ad is right.

Performance wise.

95BHP (not WHP) which is about 75-80WHP for AWD Manual 1600cc Imprezas

Automatic Transmission = less WHP

Mods such as K&N Drop, decat and exhaust upgrades and Lighten pulley would increase performance in acceleration and some WHP.

FWD like Tr1ad would have more HP since power goes to 2 wheels and not 4 like AWD.

Otherwise Buy a turbo charged subaru or turbo the TS.

^^Really!!! Has that specific turbo kit been confirmed as being SAFE for TS's with auto transmissions?

AFAIK that kit hasn't been used locally.....and trusting a manf'rs claim seems a bit naive.

The only way is to try and see

Yeah.

Right.

Like it's that simple. It's more than just a swap. THis topic has been beaten to death time and again.

And as I always say....if I had a penny for every TS owner who was "goin an swap eeeen ah EJ20 Towbow engine......"

Well.............
