6500$ to rebuild a tranny??!!

so i have been having tranny problems with my bj..

i got a quote from a guy in san fernando this morning for 6500$ to rebuild my tranny.
the hold light is blinking ,
he said the tranny is sliping causing it to send wrong codes,,,



anyway
i need a second opinion

does anyone know where i can go to have this checked?

buy a new one, or get a gearbox, both options are cheaper. A guy in the bamboo offered me a gearbox for 1500 the other day.

you know where bamboo marketing is? it have a foreign used place right before bamboo marketing on the right hand side of the road if you going into the bamboo. Is right there the man offer me it, check him.

check jenton or winston mahabir. it faster to sell an automatic car than a manual and u have better resale with automatics. better re-build the auto or if u not planning to sell in a while and can handle the manual in all this traffic then there's your obvious choice. good luck.

buying a used tranny is ah shoot and miss.........stay away from this option.....if you dont mind the 5fwd thats the best option

I was auto and I change to gearbox only have to fit the hold light

ok so i found a zl-de for the 323....

jus spoke to someone on the phone

it'a a full conversation to manual..


is 7000$$ reasonable ?

what kind of wiring issuses would i have?
