NEED HELP MAZDA AXELA ABS LIGHT NOT COMING OFF....

Postby nizzmo » October 27th, 2016, 10:45 pm

As the topic says, the abs light not coming off.

Car: Mazda 3 Axela (Foreign Used) 2012 model.

First was experiencing some noise while driving, discovered it was the left side wheel bearing. So went to get that changed.
Bearing was replaced and noise problem solved, but then the ABS light came on. So rechecked the sensor, everything good. Ran a diagnostic, left front speed sensor came up as fault, so cleared that and went for a test run. Once i reach 20 km/hr light comes back on.
Bought a sensor (new from the firm, not foreign used) and changed it, cleared with the scanner, went for a run again.. Same issue..
Checked wiring for continuity, everything good.

Any advice would be a big help....

n.b. there was no cap or ABS ring to begin with originally.

If its a bearing with integrated tone/abs ring and was put on in the wrong direction you will get that error.

Common on hondas, not sure on the 3.

Thanks. I got through. The problem was that the bearing I used to replace was not generating the magnetic field to send the signal to the sensor.
