So.. my exhaust broke...

Postby Big Z » June 23rd, 2011, 9:17 am

Noticed a slight hiss a few days ago when passing walls close to the road.
Checked it today and the exhaust midpipe is broken after the resonator.
Looks like after a few more days of usage, it may completely detach.
I just dont understand it, how does your exhaust midpipe break after the resonator?

But as you know... when its broken, time to upgrade

2 inch, 2.25 inch, 2.5 inch, straight pipe, barrel, resonator barrel, straight thru... the options are great.

Lets see what Lifestyle says before the upgrade... Lack of a real job has the cash flow severely limited. Im hoping that they fund the upgrade.. but warranty work usually doesnt work like that.

Yup.. it's a late 2009

Lifestyle carried the car by Imraj and had it repaired.
I could live with that... cost $46

And now that it's fixed, my car feels so much slower :(
And the low rpm ping had returned....

Depends on the config used...

1. Mods to stock system. - Midpipe will be replaced with a mix of 2 inch, 2.25 inch and 2.5 inch pipe.

2. All out - 2.5 inch down the road.

Well, I finally upgraded and am most happy with the results. 2.25 inch OD pipe and a free flow barrel. A bit loud, but I will deal with that another time.
