Suzuki G Vitara -Engine check lite on and off, misfiring?

1.6 grand vitara,4wd, PBS

the check light comes on and off esp when the engine is cold...when this happens there is a low rev and upon driving the vehicle seems to be loosing power.

well i carried the vehicle to scan and the "throttle body sensor" came up..

Any 1 knows where i can get this for a reasonable price?

Any comments why this needs changing--i drove through some deep floods (like water on the bonnet deep) Could this be the cause or just needs changing by now??

try cleaning the throttle body sensor first before purchasing a new one. if your problem still occurs its probably because it got a bit wet and has started to malfunction.

Throttle body sensor? do you mean the Throttle Position Sensor? ...water ingress would certainly destroy this sensor.

i had a similar problem. changed the air filter, sprayed the sensor and throttle with wd-40 and wiped off all the black residue from the plate and it stopped. After a while my car shut down cause it wasn't getting fuel from the fuel pump. turns out a relay below the fuze box under the steering wheel got wet and the relay and circuit had to be changed. i doubt your problem is that bad but if u cannot fix it, call this guy.. he is a pro with vitara electrical - kabir-7386379
