Hawk Brake pads for swift and swift sport

Postby whizpig » February 18th, 2013, 10:55 am

Ok we keeping this simple ah talk to a local distributor of Hawk brake pads and they say they can get Hawk HPS pads (front) for the swift and swift sport (its the same thing, i do not know what else they will fit on). Thing is cause Hawk will consider it a custom order there is a minimum order quantity that i would prefer not to foot the entire cost myself.

So if you have a swift or swift sport, want good brake pads but don't want to pay dealership price, pm me and we can make a group purchase (I would like to make this purchase by months end).

Yes Hawk makes a back pad for the suzuki swift HB145x.570, or at least that's what i was told, i encourage anyone interested to verify by checking out the Hawk brake pad catalogue

you need to wash the brake dust of the rotors every couple days. i run them and they work fine! i wash my car very often so never have that problem

At lsm they use the prestone brake and parts cleaner

Works really well... It removes all the caked on brake dust outside and inside caliper and cleans the rotors and shield behind the rotor too.

But if u using ohk u may have to clean urs every 3 weeks instead of 3months (if u using oem pads)

Try it... Give we a update

U should actually try to make it part of your maintenance routine
Or thoroughly clean ur calipers and regrease before the installation of ur new hawk pads

I am eagerly awaiting my set too

order placed, was told it would take about 10 working days to make the pads and about the same time for shipping, so we looking at 3-4weeks for delivery

Baleno vs Swift vs B14 pads

Baleno has similar dimensions, but the outermost "lip" is just a tiny bit smaller.
B14 looks like a close match to me...

Just made a spin to the parts place. B14 pad was almost the same. Only difference is the bottom, but the 3 mm extra at the bottom should be fine.
Pulled off the left front rim too.... I'm 99% certain that the B14 pad will work, but you may need to use the B14 shims as well.
