wtk Suzuki swift sport ride quality + lowering springs

Postby amrit90901 » April 4th, 2014, 9:04 pm

ok excuse me if i not making much sense but i basically want to know how a Swift sport does ride i.e. is it stiff/soft , i recently got one but i find it rides pretty stiff, i am accustomed to driving drop low vehicles with stiff suspension but this is the first stock car i'm driving and it feels pretty stiff so i wanna know if thats normal, also

anybody have lowering springs on theirs, how much drop did the springs give and how is the ride? i got a set of greddy springs and installed them and it ride horrible , i checked my back shocks i believe they need changing, i changed the front and it rides closer to the stock springs but the back feeling like terrible, the height it has real bess but the ride is real crap

anyone who can shed some light i will appreciate it thanks

Ok I have no information for you regarding the drop springs as I don't have them installed on my swift sport. Which version do you have ZC31 or ZC32? I have the 31 and yes it is a little stiff as a result of the suspension setup. I'm sure its nothing you cannot get used to as you are coming from cars with dropped suspensions and such. The rear is a bit jittery apparently that was a addressed on the zc32 again I have no information on that.

Presently it's a little over 74000 kms , I changed all four shocks I used the jsk in front and kyb in the rear & with the lowering springs it rides smoother than stock

Lotus tuned suspension = don't fack with it

Any 'off the shelf' lowering springs will possibly do more harm than good for the suspension geometry of the car. That's probably why most go for full adjustable coilovers (corner balanced).
