They no longer making the twincharger 1.4. It's all single turbo now. At least now u can swap parts out of the US, theoreticallyaaron17 wrote:I think it does not have independent suspension yet and HP is low.Oh and 8 gears?

Looks like no Jetta VII for here.
Our jettas closely mimics wat is being sold in south Africa, Singapore in terms of trim levels etc. So waits 2 be seen considering BA now selling the facelifted model that debuted years ago. I estimate another 2 years b4 we see a MK7 jetta if at all...greggle71 wrote:Allergic2BunnyEars wrote:http://www.carscoops.com/2018/01/sorry-europe-you-wont-be-getting-2019.html

I think if it’s offered in Asia then we may still get it here as most of those countries use RHD. It may just take longer and trim levels may be different. Euro always favours hatchbacks as opposed to sedans and compact SUVs are more attractive if people looking for space.
That's still miles better than the current offering, I mean, u see that interiordrchaos wrote:Not for the euro countries means its a third world trash vehicle ...

BA? power folding mirrors too? lol
Yeah but those have been largely sorted out. The new model shouldn't have any of the gremlins of the previous generations, except probably the water pump issue.Dane_Jerrus wrote:Spoke to a mechanic that works at the dealers... asked him for his opinion about the vehicle. donno if that's anyone else's opinion as well

I hear it also. My trunk shock is ded, only realized the other day there was 1... Depending on the angle of the car, the trunk wouldn't stay up resulting in a hit to the head or back.aaron17 wrote:Also have you ever tried changing the trunk spring settings to make it open better? My one opens kinda slow and I hear something like an object is loose ( eg like a pebble is in a closed cup and you shake it) .......only when you open the trunk.
