They no longer making the twincharger 1.4. It's all single turbo now. At least now u can swap parts out of the US, theoretically

Looks like no Jetta VII for here.

I think if it’s offered in Asia then we may still get it here as most of those countries use RHD. It may just take longer and trim levels may be different. Euro always favours hatchbacks as opposed to sedans and compact SUVs are more attractive if people looking for space.

Our jettas closely mimics wat is being sold in south Africa, Singapore in terms of trim levels etc. So waits 2 be seen considering BA now selling the facelifted model that debuted years ago. I estimate another 2 years b4 we see a MK7 jetta if at all...

Nice summation. It’s growing on me already. I wish we get a less Americanised grille though. Less Atlas more Arteon.

Went to the dealer and checked out the Comfort line with leather seats & sunroof (most features of the 3 offered)...now i'm not picky...but what got to me was that the mirrors were not power folding mirrors....ah mean...even my 11 year old Dualis have power folding mirrors...is it that the models they bring in are limited in features..

Used to be mid spec (comfortline) that we get here. If you want push start talk to BA and they can order one for you.

Best Auto.

You would like to spend extra grands just to get power folding mirrors? It's most likely packaged in some sort of highline spec.

Spoke to a mechanic that works at the dealers... asked him for his opinion about the vehicle. He said they weren't designed for this temperature and they tend to have transmission and engine problems...

donno if that's anyone else's opinion as well

Yeah but those have been largely sorted out. The new model shouldn't have any of the gremlins of the previous generations, except probably the water pump issue.

I would listen to the mechanic vs listening to the sales people.

Hey , I don't know how to explain this but the front passenger door...Is it easy to close it as the driver's door? I like how unique the driver's door closes. I try to lube it with silicon spray but no avail. I have to use more force.

Also have you ever tried changing the trunk spring settings to make it open better? My one opens kinda slow and I hear something like an object is loose ( eg like a pebble is in a closed cup and you shake it) .......only when you open the trunk.

I hear it also. My trunk shock is ded, only realized the other day there was 1... Depending on the angle of the car, the trunk wouldn't stay up resulting in a hit to the head or back.

*not on my list of priorities*

Hey guys looking for a set of 17" Jetta rims to buy.

My car have been parked up sometime and the diamond cut parts on the rims have oxidized.

Or if you know someone or machine shop who could give me back the diamond cut finish I would be great full

Thanks in advance
