Who calls to give you the prices? I find sometimes the person calling doesn't have all the info.

Sorry to hear bout that. You tried Sheron's for fast cash? Might be a better bet than hoping to sell ASAP on your own.

Check the Phillips brand. I am running them on the Megane and Clio.

any noticeable leaks?

I thought those oil consumption tests were for new 1.8 TSI engines that might be consuming oil. That was supposedly an issue during the initial run in. Odd that it should come up now.

You still servicing by BA?

Approaching 90km soon so I'm hoping to organize stuff: air filter, cabin air filter, spark plugs.

I looked at the service sheets from the "big" 30k and 60k services, and there was really nothing out of the ordinary that I saw (except for an additional filter) that warranted them having the car for 2 days. If you give BA a chance, they will take a week to do an oil change for you.

As this is my only car, I usually have to rent one from them which usually adds to the cost. Last time I had to rent the car for an extra day just because they didn't get it ready in time.

I've taken it to a former Laughlin service mechanic in south for the last 2 oil changes.
I figure I can do the air filter change myself. If he can swap out the spark plugs and eventually disc pads (suspect those are going), I'll be glad.

All them things you call really easy to do for any mechanic. The only reason to service by BA is to keep yourself in good faith with them in case anything goes wrong even out of warranty.

Goodwill is real and I am thankful they gave it to me for my mechatronic unit.

That extra time and cost is something I can't afford.
Even so, when you got your goodwill was probably a good year after your last service.

Hopefully if all goes well, an upgrade/sidegrade will happen in a year.

I got mine cuz I made a case that the part was not serviceable by BA anyway. If it was any other part like say the engine I would have been properly fcucked.
