Thanks Guys! Unfortunately, the pic did not come out as well as I'd hoped. Ended up using a garbage bag as the background and that reflected the flashes so I had to edit it out. Also, water from previous drops was on the front glass and I did not wipe it off so I interfered with the pic quality. Next chance I get I will buy some black cloth and retry the setup to correct the mistakes.

You can replace the flash tube yourself. They are available off ebay.

No problem. Just do some reading before you attempt anything. I think it can shock you pretty bad even without batteries.

most definitely. make sure not to short off the terminals of any capacitors otherwise you might not be able to feel your arm for a while, or possibly worse. chances are the capacitors won't hold much charge if its been off/not used for a while, but there is still the possibility, better to be safe though.

try to use insulated tools just as an electrician would.

i got shocked with a capacitor from a disposable camera back in the day, it wasn't pleasant. so a shock from a professional flash would be significantly worse.

A YN560II with an improvised grid. (black construction paper tape in a cylinder and fit around the flash head.)
