Well we were... I think that was just more of a challenge for March. But it's back to shots and processes...

Yes it's a lot of pics, yes they're slightly post processed, yes I don't care. (I broke my Tamron 70-300 this evening so I am sour as hell...)

was actually plane spotting from my front yard and picking up the camera I didn't hold the strap first like I usually do... strap snagged on my chair and fell on the concrete...

and the tamron was on and extended fully. broke all the points that fasten the barrel to the zoom adjust ring (you could see all the broken/ scrached stuff looking through the lens) and also the focus ring etc broke internally too. Couldn't get the barrel to move at all and pressed the shutter to see if it would focus: all I heard was the sound best described as chalk screeching on a blackboard

So yeah, $660.00 US down the drain...

Are you using a ND filter for that pic? I was just talking to one of my workmates earlier today and the topic came up...4 minutes is a long time and there are a few shots I want to do like that.

Quick re-touch in Picasa and the horizon problem will be solved.

Amazing pic btw.

true...but why do it in software when you can get it right in the camera the first time? That is part of developing your skill as a photographer.

Yes, I agree with you but its a crappy tripod I have so no level, plus I had to hurry before the sun went down.

No filter, closed the aperture, click the photo and when you get to it on flickr, click on the right hand side where you see the camera model. You'll see all the settings!

DVSTT, i'm by no means a critic at all, but since you've started posted in the ched you've improved along the way and it's seen in your shots.

Keep up the good work man! :)

Some oldies from back when I first started seriously taking pics with a DSLR (started with a Nikon D40)

This one was taken with my Nikon D200

This one I had done lots of post-processing in Photoshop, oversaturated it, threw lots of grain on it and killed the black-weighted levels... and then put a water-colours layer over it to make it look kinda cartoonish. This was cuz the original pic looked horrible... so just goes to show if you can't take a good original pic (for whatever reason)... photoshop the fcuk outta it till it looks good!!!
