buy it locally. Dealers pay much less for bikes and most of the time you'll pay the same as the online retail price when you buy locally or sometimes even cheaper if they give you discounts. Check out mikes bikes, their prices are great, customer service is good and they give 10-15% discount. At mikes you almost always end up paying a bit cheaper than you would importing it.

Depends on the bike. Entry level buy local. Higher level full suspension bike you may come out better importing. When the 2017 models are all out buy a new 2016 or 2015 if available and you will get a huge discount. Just tell them don't put the receipt in the box

can anyone suggest safe places to ride around the couva/chaguanas area? prefferably away from roads, any savannah grounds or the like, where there are paved sections around the ground perimeter or anywhere similar, I just bought a used mountain bike from a tuner and a used bike rack from another tuner.

Thanks.

light weight
The trek 820 is taking my 260lbs pretty well...I ride on the road exclusively though.

Check it out at Geronimos -I think its in the 3000 range.

The Couva trail is very short and steep in areas riding in an anti clockwise direction is more fun
