Help needed guys. A buddy of mine bought a used iphone 5 from ebay, the seller told him its factory unlocked but when he insert his sim digicel its saying searching for the past hour. Is there anything he can do for it to connect to the network ??

Sim was cut good cuz its working in mine and my sim not working in his

Insert SIM, connect to wifi network, turn on airplane mode for 30 or so seconds, turn off airplane mode. The phone should connect to the network. If it doesn't connect to the network there would be an issue with the phone. If u so desire, my store can conduct repairs. Contact me via PM if necessary.

Was his sim cut properly??

Did he set the time and date manually?

Put in a working local SIM card , plug into iTunes and press restore.

If that doesn't work he is screwed.
