I'm pretty sure i can find a post of yours from 2007 where you said the first iPhone had no physical keyboard and you need to feel the keys to that's why you holding on to whatever phone you currently had.

Or might just end up buying a dual sim phone
M_2NR wrote:Just throwing it out there. Don’t waste your time buying used iPhone 6s’. The free battery replacement program may be ending soon and even after this replacement, your battery will still go bad.

Can back up using iTunes on a pc or use iCloud with Apple ID to restore on new phone after backing up old phone.
M_2NR wrote:Once it is using the latest iOS 12, use the iCloud route. The latest iTunes for backing up and restoring is no longer a viable option.
Tr1ad, ifixit battery replacement for dat. Or you replaced it already?

Did it on my 2014 MBP
Fairy straightforward in terms of opening up and disconnecting/reconnecting. The hardest part was getting past the adhesive holding the battery in place. Just be careful not to puncture it esp if you're using alcohol to weaken the adhesive

Thanks. Thinking to use fishing wire to cut thru it rather than the chemicals. Also don’t want to take apart every single thing to do it. Where did you order your battery from? What symptoms did you have?

The battery was swollen and pushing up against the trackpad so it would no longer click.
I ordered mine off Amazon. I used isopropyl to help, but that battery is really stuck in there so I don't know how well that fishing wire will get under it.
Sidenote: I recently had to replace my speakers. It took some time but it was doable.... if you go that route, just keep all 600 screws in order
