IMPORTANT NOTICE: COMPATIBILITY ISSUE BETWEEN IOS11 AND APPRADIO MODE

September 19th 2017

Dear Valued Pioneer Customer:

With the release of the new iOS 11 mobile operating system by Apple, Pioneer has discovered a compatibility issue with AppRadio Mode on certain Pioneer products.

If you connect an iPhone® or 5th or 6th generation iPod touch® device that has been updated to iOS 11 and launch AppRadio Mode, you may experience a blank screen or other display malfunctions that disables the AppRadio Mode feature.

To maintain compatibility with AppRadio Mode, please continue using iOS 10 or older with your iPhone or iPod touch. Pioneer is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and will update this notice once firmware updates for the products are available. For further information, including affected Pioneer products, see this list.

Sincerely,

Pioneer.

Waze not working on my AppRadio Pioneer headunit with iOS 11 :(

Fix it Pioneer! Fix it quick!

EDIT: This issue has been resolved with iOS 11.2.5. Waze is now working properly with AppRadio and AppRadio mode head-units.

Sooo anyone got an iPhone X yet and could confirm that it fully unlocked and working fine? If so which carrier version?

Reading in various online forums where some people say all versions at full price are unlocked, but not all can be purchased without an account with the carrier.

Any iPhone bought from Apple at full price is unlocked. Most go with the T-Mobile version from Apple.com.

I did it with zero problems with a 5s in 2013. Doing it again with the X.

^ well firstly there is no 128GB iPhone X
Apple only makes 64GB and 256GB models of the iPhone X

secondly that markup is huge

yup know a number of people who bought the T-Mobile iPhone X from Apple.com and it is working here with no issues.
US$999 for the 64GB and US$1149 for the 256GB unit

Ipjone X 256GB is in Apple Store in the US is $1149. Sales tax approximately is US $100.
So $1249 approximately. Exchange rate of 6.8 TTD to 1 USD.
So cost in TT is $8493 approximately.

Using 30% customs duty charge if importing you get $11041.2 approximately.

Add 12.5% VAT you end up at TT $12421.3 approximately.

Haven't included skybox shipping fees but can estimate that to be TT $100 max so total is TT $12521.3 estimated if importing it yourself.

How much would you expect a local vendor to charge at this point? $15,000? $14,500? $13,500?
