If u lock the screen and then unlock it'll work for a few secs again and then stop responding to touch. Also there's a grayish bar that appeared to the bottom abt 4mm high. Updated all software to the latest. Anyone here have an idea abt whats happening or know where to check it. Malls repair shop saying $700 to change screen but that's if it's bad.

Well I reset the phone and it helped. Instead of becoming unresponsive in a few seconds it goes for a few minutes. Guess I'll use it like that and hope it goes away. I don't want to pay to change the screen and the problem still there.

Apple has been getting sloppier since Tim Cook took over.

did you restore from backup?

try resetting again and restoring from your last known working backup

also try setting up as a new phone and activating with the SIM card in.

Nope...didn’t restore from backup....just wiped my settings as I was tinkering with some graphic options to improve the speed of the phone....iOS 11 really slowed down my device. I’ll try your recommendations now!

Ok, Let me start .

It has no home button so a little learning curve .

No finger prints , glass all around.

It’s defiantly a refresh somewhat ,it’s optimized but however but with the gestures and minus the fingerprint scanner , the 8 or 8 plus is the better bet because you have 2 ways to unlock your phone other than the facial recognition and password for because it comes without that I would probably give you the feeling that the phone is like a 6S without a fingerprint scanner .

Iphone X can do anything .

It's magical.

Left it on the dining table at night .

Next morning the same table had a compete English Breakfast .
With fresh juice and decaf coffee with an assorted fruit platter.

I love it.. facial recognition is the best.. fast af.. long battery life..
went to gulf city and did the complete clear coat at mobile outfitters.. it’s a very strong iPhone despite what ppl say.. apps are better too.. check out Animoji it’s a facial recognition app only for the X

I ordered a battery on amazon also and it’s working good for the last 6 months . Many varieties available but confirm with the ratings on amazon also

^ Considered that but I prefer the OEM.

Did you do the installation of the battery yourself? Or you hired someone to do so?

I'm looking at the videos to replace it, although simple, it can also be quite complex. Very risky too

Yeah they came with the screwdrivers and everything . But definitely watch as many of the videos online to help you but it was pretty straightforward

Hardest part I found was removing the adhesive holding the old battery in place

Been following this for a few days now. Lots of people in here complained of sluggish devices after a couple years.

Well I updated iOS again after resetting and the problem only only comes up like once a day. But it's just to lock and unlock and it's solved. The translucent gray bar still to the bottom of the screen but it still works as usual.
