Mc Bean experiencing showers and even if flooding isn't an issue in this area, rain like this certainly not helping things for others.
Really quite surprised at general weather outlook at this time.

Still no power in Mayaro area. Word is that there is extensive damage to the main line from powergen to Rio Claro Mayaro due to trees falling.

Doubt I could survive another night without AC.

T&TEC saying they will be able to restore power to the entire island within 16-24 hrs as of 1pm today. Looks like hotel for it.

So Bret came along for a second visit (1st was 93) in his pickup but saw the huge fines and demerit points and decided to stay at 65kph oui

This was a tropical storm. Some just barely above a gusty afternoon in Mayaro. The whole country shut down for a day, power out in many parts of the country for almost 24hrs now. Flooding everywhere, place in a shambles.

Imagine this was an actual Hurricane... Cat one or 2. What would have happened. It's a serious fend for yourself situation in this country with these inept reactive governments.

From the highway, at about 6:30pm Caroni river level looked very high. Could be somewhere further inland.

Well said Trinidad and Tobago is not prepared whatsoever for a natural disaster of any magnitude.
This was just a tropical storm and watch at the destruction, what would really happen to us if a hurricane category (1,2,3,4) really hits?
Even an earthquake of significant measure?

Pass and future governments will only play politics with people lives, and not see the bigger picture with issues and real situations that significantly impact the lives of law abiding citizens.

As for this government , you have proven time and time again that you are no way capable or competent with running this twin island republic.
No fan of Kamla and her crew, BUT she is still out there giving comfort to the affected and I applaud her.
Even though is just politics she and rest of them playing.

This was like "Bret2: Revenge". This system strengthen to a tropical storm just long enough to jam Trinidad overnight, then degenerate by 5pm! What Bret have against Trini?
